Stéphane Belzère participates in the exhibition Zurbarán. Reinventing a Masterpiece at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. This retrospective brings together for the first time the three "Saint Francis of Assisi" by the Spanish painter. It explores the inspiration and sources of this work, as well as its reception by artists from the 19th century to the present day.
A regular visitor to the museum where he copied the painting, Stéphane Belzère considered it as a sacred motif in his stained glass window of the Saints in the sky of Rodez Cathedral that he executed in the 2000s. This exhibition shows some of his preparatory sketches.
